Just curious who else carries :) and which method you use/prefer.

I mainly conceal carry my g27 though I have occasionally open carried my g23. People really don't seem to notice when I am open carrying at all, too wrapped up in their own worlds it would seem.

I have had my permit to carry (mn) since September and I carry about 90% of the time (sometimes I am just too lazy).

**EDIT**

I am also curious about what caliber you chose, and do you carry a spare magazine?

I sometimes carry a spare magazine, haven't really found a comfortable way to carry one, looking at ankle carrying possibly.

**EDIT2**

If you had the money to pick up a new carry gun today, what would it be?

I would flip a coin and get either the kahr k9 elite 03 or the kahr k40 elite 03...love the all stainless with wood grips!

Specifically what do you mean by "rule"?

**EDIT**

If you are talking concealed vs open - In MN your permit is to carry a pistol, meaning open or concealed is your choice. Though I hear in Minneapolis they will potentially try to arrest you because they are assholes.

I own 5 handguns but it is impossible to get a carry permit here so to answer the how often question? Never.

anytime i go out thats not to work (gun free zone that im actually ok with!)

Never open carry unless its for a cause like open carrying at the capital to support 2A rights

I like to open carry because it shows people that regular law abiding citizens carry guns and aren't about to go off on some sort of rampage.

I agree open carrying can cause problems...never do it if you are on a time sensitive schedule (hassles). TBH some cops don't even know that open carry is legal here. Although I have never been harassed personally.

Beretta Nano, concealed in a belly band type holster. Also carrying two extra mags.

I have an XDS, however I am still waiting to receive my CHL to conceal it. I don't open carry it, but the plan is to concealed carry it as much as possible. I have a leather Winthrop IWB holster now (That I don't like too much) and an Old Faithful IWB on the way.

As for a spare mag, well, I'm up in the air about it. On one hand I feel six shots should be adequate but if I want to prep for worst case scenario I should have at least 11 other mags on me at all times.

Exactly...that's why I am going to start carrying a spare mag or 2 more often. The weight is a concern of mine, I don't want to feel like I am lugging around 20 lbs of lead on me.

Lucky dog, I haven't even been able to fondle one at a store yet...

I got mine last year, but our local ace hardware has been getting them in stock regularly recently. Last week they had 8 of them sitting in there for $439 each. S&W seems to be cranking them out.

Just curious, not trying to start any debates or anything. Why would you need to carry a 2nd clip, I am assuming that you never actually fire your gun in a day to day basis?

Sorry I have no idea about this stuff I just found the need to carry extra ammo curious. Here in NZ guns are never seen unless on a farm etc and only then rifles, handguns are almost impossible to get here. No law enforcement wear them here so when ever I travel and hop on a bus or subway and some guy with gun stands next to me it freaks me the fuck out :)

So, I've shot the M&P Shield and the XDS, but my hands are pretty large. Is there anything I can do about the grips for those guns so they fit my hands better?

Have you tried finger extensions? Or perhaps something like the pachmayr glove?

M&P9c in an x-concealment OWB holster. I conceal carry it (open carry is only legal in FL under certain circumstances), but I went with an OWB holster because IWB isn't very comfortable to me. The x-concealment prints a bit more than my IWB holsters, but everyone is oblivious to it anyway so it doesn't bother me.

Oo, I hear they are nice! Hows it shoot?

100% reliable with all FMJ and HP rounds I have shot through it, and that covers about half a dozen common brands for a total of about 12 different types of ammo.

The only downside is the low capacity of 6 rounds with the standard magazine. Thus carrying two spares.
