Conan WTF moment

You are completely incorrect. Completely. Just watch the damn thing.

For some reason I always pictured Max Weinberg as looking the way he does now even as a child...

Jesus... I still don't know how Jimmy played with his Gibson so god damn low. This guitarist plays the same exact way.

Um, that's Andy Richter (his former sidekick). He's not really playing you know.

I'm actually a low player myself. I'm tall and lanky, so it's more comfortable.

HaHa, He "nails" Plant. Man I miss Andy, I almost spit my coffee when he pulls out the bow. That was great

bwahahahaha. Oh holy shit that was so bad on the ears but it was like Plant was in Conan. The whole thing of Conan being so damn tall/lanky made the exaggerations even more hilarious. 😀

LOL, I actually understood what Dan was saying but....?

For the trivia hounds, the sequences are taken from The Song Remains the Same during the Rain Song and Dazed and Confused.

We've been jamming to this all day at work now.

I know he's not playing, but it's just like... it reminded me of Jimmy obviously. Being tall is even worse I would think. You have to practically bend over to reach the strings. Especially if you angle the guitar like Jimmy does.

I was reading that those sequences were added in after they found the concert footage to be too dry and parts of it were either not recorded or had unusable footage. In Guitar World a few months back, Jimmy Page mentioned that the cameramen were so stoned that one fell asleep during filming, and another camera ran out of film 1/2 way though the concert. They had to recreate whole songs at a soundstage with extras pretending to be fans lol! If you watch the movie now, you can actually pic those scenes out. They also had to speed some footage up, slow some footage down, and even play different tracks over clips to piece together some songs (Since I've Been Loving You and Whole Lotta Love were the examples he gave).

What a mess 🙂 Gotta love the 70's These days, something like this wouldn't have made it past Youtube.
