Computers not sleeping after move

I had two computers that went to sleep after 45 minutes then hibernated after another 45 minutes. It took some hassle to get them working right but they eventually did. Now after I've moved, they both refuse to sleep or hibernate. They do turn off the display when they're supposed to but that's it. Is there something about changing your ip address that messes up sleep?
