Computers messed up.

I just finished building my new rig everything is plugged in ect.. computer boots and I can go into bios and so on. But.. Soon as I tried to install windows it would say there were no Hard drives(I have two WD 74Gb Raptors) in Raid 0.. didnt work, I then tried using only one drive.. Nothing

Just about 20-30 minutes ago I reseated the heatsink on my CPU and when I booted into bios the it said High tempature alert.. I checked and it said 127 C! and the temp never dropped or raised. I touched the heatsink and it was warm.. not hot or anything.. nor any smell or smoke. Please help.. ive been working on this comp for about 4 Hours now >.<

My comp specs:
AMD 64 FX-51
ASUS Sk8v
Corsair 3200RE(forgot rest of name.. its registered ram)
two WD 74 GB Raptors
Radeon 9800 XT
Audigy 2 sound card

Please help

Could be the reason the Heatsink is only warm, as perhaps it isn't getting seated well to the cpu, which would mean it isn't doing it's intended job.

dont think so.. Reseated it twice already and still nothing.. Its in very tight too.. and the temps dont raise.. very unlikely.

Original problem: In the first part of the XP install process, you are told to hit F6 if you need to install third party controller drivers. This would include SCSI or RAID drivers. Without this, it doesn't know how to talk to your drive.

Problem #2: It is possible to have a CPU temp of 127F, but NOT 127C. Either you are missreading something, or you have created a serious problem because the CPU will be totally fried well under 100C.

When you install Windows and it says "Press F6 to add new controller" or something like that, did you do it ? Those are SATA drives I believe, and require drivers at that point. Also, you 127F is really 53C and that is fine, maybe a little high for an Athlon64, but what is your case temp ? and what kind of HSF ? Retail ?

it says 290 F in bios.. and yes I agree.. 100 C is overkill for a cpu.. maybe a bios error.. ill reseat everything and try again..

and no I didnt install any drivers cause I got the drive oem from newegg.. ill download some to a floppy in a minute.. thanks..

Just downloaded drivers.. didnt work =( bios sees the drives.. but windows doesnt.. >.<...
