Would have been good to see 8600K/8700K results in there, alas they released the results days before the launch. This game seems to take advantage of extra available cores/threads, even between the 1600X to 1800X there is some performance scaling.

Also, the demise of the 4C/4T CPU for gaming has been greatly exaggerated. Even in a highly multithreaded game engine as shown here, performance is not that far off a 8C/16T CPU.

Goes to show that IPC + clockspeed still matters the most in gaming, followed by core/thread count.

Wait I thought it was crazy to think we would see more core usage in games (though worth noting that the 4c 7700k is still doing well). But the fact that the 1800x can keep close is a good sign for both Ryzen and future Coffee Lake users.
