OK folks, I need a bit of help.

I just finished assembling my computer (got the CPU and HSF today) and put it in my new Soltek SL-K8T800Pro-939 mobo. The CPU and HSF I got lightly used off of the AAT forums. I've got everything plugged up correctly (I think) but when I hit the power switch, nothing happens. The mobo is recieving power because the LAN light is flashing.

What are some possible causes of this failure to turn on?? Hopefully nothing's fried :(

Here's the current specs:

Athlon 64 3200+ (s939)
Soltek SL-K8T800Pro-939 Motherboard
2x512MB Kingmax Hardcore PC4000 RAM
PNY GeForce FX 5200 (waiting for 9800 Pro to arrive)
Sound Blaster Live! Value sound card
MGE Soho H2 Case & PSU (yeah, crappy, I know...but they both worked just under a month ago...)

Any ideas??

The machine is on now...but there's no video. Any clues??

Yeah, that was the problem. I actually hooked it up to the wrong slot. I figured that one out before I saw your post though. Now I've got a different problem though. The computer turns on, but there is no video, and it sounds like the machine restarts itself. Any clues?? I've got error C1 on the mobo LED, but I can't find where it tells me what that means...

Any clues??

I think I figured out what C1 is (1.0 BIOS with 2 sticks of RAM in slots 1&2) but now I'm getting error FF and my monitor still will not display anything. The manual doesn't tell about the different errors...

Still working on it!

using my sense of ultimate wisdom,

i think C1 is a memory error

and FF is all systems-go meaning everything is running fine

id say something is amiss with your video card if you get an FF. does the 5200 require extra power source?

No, the FX 5200 does not require extra power. So why tha...hrm. I should be getting a 9800 Pro in anytime, and I'm ordering a 6800 Ultra in a few days...but hrm, why does it not work now?

I'll try taking out the video card and putting it in again to see if it just wasn't in all the way, as that's the only thing I can think of. Everything else is hooked up correctly to the best of my knowledge, although I've only got one DIMM in right now (until I update the BIOS)

If that doesn't work, I'll be officially stumped...

Any other ideas?

Thanks so far guys!

I have this mobo. There are some memory compatibility issues that are fixed in the newest BIOS. Try running with only one RAM piece to get it to boot, then flash the newest BIOS.
