Computer won't turn off all the way if it's been on for a while.

I posted a while ago saying my computer doesn't turn off all the time. ONLY if it's been on for say a few minutes will it boot down and turn off all the way.

What could be causing the computer to not want to turn off all the way due to being on for long periods of time?

You'd get a more informative answer if you posted your system specs(add-on cards etc) and the OS/apps loaded on it.
