take every thing out of the case and set up the mobo on a non conductive surface (cardboard box ) and reset all the components to rule out any electrical shorts and we will go from there .... good luck

Everything was done on a wooden table and we made sure that we had the correct number of "studs" we put the motherboard on.

A few things to try:

-make sure that both the 4 pin and atx power connectors are connected on the motherboard from the power supply.

-reset the bios.

-double check that the power switch header is located correctly on the motherboard.

try it without the non-essentials.
Disconnect [ide and power] all drives.
Take out all RAM
Take out VGA and any other cards.

Turn it on - any beeps?
If still same problem, that leaves your mobo or cpu or psu

Take the cmos battery out for 10 minutes. Alternatively, there may be a CMOS reset jumper that will be close to the button battery.
Look in the mobo manual for more info.
The header is where all of the little wires connect to the mobo.
The power switch header will have somithing like pwr+ and pwr- or something like this. Look in the mobo manual
