Computer won't start up at all

I can't seem to get my computer to boot up at all and I'm not sure why. I've brought it home with me for the weekend. It was working just fine before I left, but it doesn't turn on here at all.

The power cord does appear to work when I hook it up to another system, and everything appears to be hooked up correctly.

The only real thing I can think of is that I just installed new RAM last week. Originally I couldn't get it to boot up then either, so I just had my friend take a look at it when I was out. It was running when I got back. I believe he said that all he had to do was take out the CMOS battery and stick it back in. I don't believe I've shut down since then, so I thought that might have something to do with it.

Does anyone have any idea what I should do?

If your computer's power supply has an On/Off switch on the rear where the power cable plugs into it, ensure it's in the On position, marked with a 1. While you're back there, ensure that the 115-volt / 230-volt slider is in the correct position.

If that isn't the problem, then open the computer case and firmly re-seat all the plug-in parts in their slots (video card, memory modules, etc) in case something simply came loose when you moved the computer.

If that doesn't help, then give more information about your computer's specs, or tell us its brand & model if it's a pre-built computer.

Well I've tried what you suggested but unfortunately, unless I missed something, that doesn't seem to be it. The power supply is on, set to 115V and nothing seems to be loose.

My system is originally an HP Pavillion a250y.
All I've done are made some modifications to it. I moved everything to an Antec Sonata case, with a TruePower 380W power supply. Then I installed a Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 160gb hard drive and a Creative Soundblaster Live soundcard. Just recenty, I added Corsair 1GB PC3200 DDR DIMM memory. Everything else is what it came as originally.

Does that help?

Ah nevermind. I checked again. Apparently something or other was loose after all. All fixed. I do appreciate your help. Thanks. :)
