Computer Wont Start After Randomly Shutting Off

Recently one of my computers kept turning off randomly like the power cut off. Then I cleaned out my computer taking out all the dust and now my computer won't start when I go to power it on it makes like a fast pace frog noise and nothing comes on the screen. I tested the video card, ram, and hard drive and they all worked on my other computer.

Does that fast pace frog noise sound like it could be a fan rubbing against a wire or anything else? Check to see if any of the leads in your case are rubbing against the CPU fan. If it is, and you have the sensor enabled in your CMOS, the machine might shut down or not start if it senses a problem with that fan.

Yea I checked to see because thats what I thought the noise was but theres nothing near the cpu fan

Got a fan on your vid card?

Open the case, put your ear close to it, and try to localize the noise. Something may have become lodged in the fan in the PSU when you were blowing stuff around.

I'm out for the eve. Good luck. 🙂

When a computer 'cuts' off randomly like you said it's usually the power supply or the motherboard. If you can test with another power supply, then you've only got one more solution. 🙂
