computer won't power on

Now I bought a new power supply and the computer will power on, but my monitor remains blank. I tried different monitors, reconnecting all the cables, reseting the cmos, and running the mobo on cardboard with only the essentials. None of that worked. When it is powered on, the fans spin and my keyboard and mouse light up. What could be wrong here?
