Ok I have a AMD Athlon X2 2.6, Epox nVidia 570 AMD SLI motherboard, 4 gigs ddr2 800, nvidia 8800gt, Windows XP home SP3 completely up to date, Antec 24 pin 650 power supply.

The computer won't post, yesterday I plugged a usb cord into the front of my computer and the thing just shut off ( power issue or surge), pushed the power button fired right back up, great no prob, I proceeded to use the usb cable to update my Moto Q, no prob. About a half hour later while I was cleaning out my email, my computer locked up ctrl, alt, delete did nothing waited a few minutes then hit reset button computer restarted but would not post. So I turned the computer clean off, waited a minute turned the computer back on nothing. Then I thought motherboard I used the onboard LED and all it gave me was "boot attempt".

I have a second motherboard so I switched the processor and the both the single core 2.2 and my dual core 2.6 work, so I switched the motherboards and I still get nothing, I checked the voltages on the 24 pin plug on my Antec and everything seems to check out. (I don't know how to check the "Power-OK" wire.) I read that it is supposed to read +5v but it doesn't read anything, CAN THIS BE DIFFERENT FOR DIFFERENT PSU's.

The second motherboard is a 20 pin connection so I had to buy a 24-20 pin adapter to get the Antec to plug into the second board, and still nothing, I have tried every different combination of psu and mobo, cpu and mobo, nothing.

I don't believe that both psu's, processors, and mobo's are bad. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

edit: I also thought it could be bad surge protector so I plugged the computer directly into the wall on a different socket.

If I am following your story correctly, it sounds like you have ruled out everything except the Antec PSU.
Both CPUs worked in the second mobo with a different PSU, right?

I took out my epox mobo and put it in the case with the enlight psu and still nothing I can't seem to get anything to work any combo of parts, I am in the process of putting the ASrock and the enlight psu with the 2.2 single core back together and try to see if it works.
