First, the system (it's been a while):
Asus A7N8X Deluxe 2.0
AMD 2600+ @ 200x11
Corsair 2x512 XMS3500 v1.1
ATi 9800XT
WD 120/250
TT PSU 450W (I think)
Well, here's my story. I'm gaming one night (some CS after about 2 months straight of WoW for 10-12 hours a day) and I notice some hiccups. I am pretty confident that this isn't the issue, but I might as well mention it. Game runs smooth, then it just kind of skips over and continues on. I don't think much of it since I had been having some issues with the video card drivers and WoW. CS was also giving me issues when I had my Logitech USB headset plugged in (incredible lag). I got some new ATi drivers, and everything was fine. No crashes/issues.
Only beep code I got was when RAM is removed.
I reset CMOS.
I pulled the CPU out and I got a voice error "CPU not installed"
I forgot that this board had the voice errors, so I put the CPU back in and pull the RAM out. "System Memory..."
It cuts off, because the machine powers down.
This happens every time, and this is where I currently stand.
SO: RAM, CPU, or Mobo? I am really lost, and I need some help. Thanks a lot.
Rich
