So my computer was working fine for three months until today, since I decided that I needed to reseat my Freezer 7 Pro so it is facing the right direction (I had had it backwards). So I use thermal paste remover and Arctic Cooling MX 7 and get my HS oriented in the right direction. But now when I go to power on my computer, I get no beep, no post, all the fans just sit and spin forever. I've tried a number of things like making sure all connections are seated properly , and that all my cards are completely plugged in, I've even tried one stick of RAM at a time and nothing seems to work. Any other ideas are appreciated. Specs are:

E8400 OEM
Freezer 7 Pro
8800GTS 512
Corsair vx550W
2GB G-Skill RAM
WD 320GB HDD
Gigabyte P35 DS3L

Have you tried to clear CMOS yet? I know it sounds dumb, but I've gotten the 12+4(or whatever) 4 pin and the aux power 4 pin connectors mixed up before also if you have a multimeter you could check the voltages, it's been a while since I've had o check voltages. But I think yellow+black should be +/-12v red +/-5v but I could be off, a quick google could give you the correct answers as well as which should be + and which should be -. The other thing.. Did you use an anti-static wrist band thing? I know I've never used one and didnt have any issues but it's a possibility since it takes like 1/100th of a shock you can feel to fry a processor(or anything else for that matter).

I've tried using a flathead screwdriver to clear the CMOS, don't have a multimeter, and I periodically touched the side of my case to ground myself, I will have to double check the 4pin connector though. I also suspect that some rogue thermal paste might be causing a short, but I won't be able to check everything for sure until my friend who has the exact same build as me comes over tomorrow and we start swapping parts.

have you checked the cpu to make sure there is no paste on there? what paste did you use? You might also want to try to remove the CMOS battery my mobo had a similar issue and the jumper didn't fix it but removing the battery helped.

The paste I used was Arctic Cooling MX-2 (bought specifically for non-conductivity), but I'm afraid the stuff that came pre-applied with my F7 Pro may have smeared or gone awry. Haven't tried removing the battery yet either though.
