Computer won't post after setting up RAID 1

After setting up RAID 1 on a brand new Dell Vostro 230 desktop (running Windows 7 Home Premium) with an added in IOCrest SY-VIA-150R RAID card, I am unable to boot up windows. In fact, the computer won't even post. I can not even get into the BIOS after restarting the computer. When setting up RAID 1, I set the OS drive to "source" and the blank drive to "mirror".

Can anyone please provide me with some insight as to how to get the computer running again? I have already tried putting in a windows re-installation disk, but that did not do anything. I'm concerned for the fact that I can not even get into BIOS.

Please help!

I wouldn't think a botched RAID setup should stop POST, but I suppose it could be related. Have you tried to reset the CMOS battery?

Dells are known for having compatibility problems with third-party RAID cards. Sometimes this can be fixed by modifying the RAID card BIOS. I don't know for sure this is your problem, but the symptoms sound like it.

I've seen BIOS compability problem with the Dell 400SC, the Dell 1600SC, and the Dell SC440. Some RAID cards will work out-of-the-box and others won't.
