When I try to boot the computer it hangs in POST. I checked the d-bracket on the back with the LEDs that tells you where it is in POST and it is in the stage where it checks the base and extended memory.
I have a MSI K8N Neo4 motherboard, athlon 3000+ (winchester) and two 512mb sticks of corsair xms pc3200c2pt memory.
I should mention that right before this happened the computer was hanging at the "Processor Initialization" stage. I let it sit for a few days while working through Finals and it seemed to have fixed itself of that..but instead ran into this Base/extended memory issue.
I've cleared the CMOS and tried only one of my memory sticks in all the different dimm slots, but this doesn't seem to help.
Anyone have any advice? Is something wrong with my motherboard?
