Computer won't boot

Just got a few items in the mail from Newegg yesterday..a Geforce7900gs and a new psu (a coolmax 500 watt). The geforce went in without a hitch but the psu (or else just freak chance) seems to have caused problems.

Now when I try to boot the computer it hangs in POST. I checked the thing on the back with the LEDs that tells you where it is in POST and it is in the stage where it checks the base and extended memory. How do I fix this? Is my motherboard (an MSI K8N Neo4) dead from a new and evil PSU?

I should mention that earlier I was able to clear POST with the new PSU but I seemed to have a corrupted windows (ntoskrnl.exe to be specific). I have since reset the CMOS but it still doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated immensely.
