Hi.

I just got a Palm IIIxe and am having problems getting the hotsync cradle to work. When I plug the cradle into the serial port and turn on the computer, once windows starts to load it will just hang. If I hit Control-Alt-Delete it shows "msgsrv32 (not responding). If I unplug the cradle and boot everything works fine. Now this doesn't make a lot of sense considering I owned a Palm previously and had NO problem getting the cradle to work. Anyone have any ideas? Sounds like a serial port conflict maybe (although I'm not using any other ports that I know of).

Can you boot to Safe Mode? I don't know if it will prevent the Cradle from working but it will show any conflicts in the Device Manager.

Slikkster- that describes my problem precisely. I will be giving Palm a call this afternoon. Thanks!
