hi all,

recently upgraded a friend computer with a Jetway V266B motherboard (VIA Apollo KT266A) and an Athlon XP 2000+, we are finding that it doesn't always boot properly... but it seems to work with the usb perpherials unpluged.. the chipset is a VIA KT266A..

has anyine come across this problem before and know of a fix? 🙂

thanks in advance

well the case and power supply are both new and it is only running a new hard drive, 512mb of ram, ati 9200 video card .

the bios is the latest for this motherboard

it doesn't post.. it flashes up the ram and stops.. so orginally we thought it was a ram issue but after 4 different sticks of ram we beleive that it is a motherboard.

I remeber early Via chipsets having issues with USB and was wondering if anyne could remember a fix? 🙂

thanks
