Computer won't boot up HELP!!!!!!!!!

I really don't know what the problem is but here is a series of events that lead up to it.

-I put in a 200gb hard drive.

-took that 200gb hard drive out and set it to slave.

-boot it up (oops)

-took out the hard drive that is already in there and set it to master

-boot it (computer) up and everything runs.

-I check the 200gb hard drive that I put in as a piggy back to back up some files.

-took out that 200gb hard drive

-boot up the computer and somethingweird happens. Its clocked at a lower fsb.

-restarted at bios and it clocked at a faster fsb but hangs when looking for a hard drive.

-turned it off and boot it up.

-now there are 2 awkward dots at the top but some things are loading then hangs at ram check portion

-finally a third boot up and nothing comes onto the screen.

Any advice?

I'm going to sleep now cause I have class tomorrow but I do appreciate any input that is given to me. Thanks everyone and have a good night.

doesn't sound good....

what was the primary drive that was in there before you put the 200giger in set as? master/slave/CS?
my guess is CS; in which case put it back to CS and try rebooting.

although to be honest to me that sounds more like a serious problem.... no errors or antything.

yea, seriously. I think something fried. Actually everything loads up perfectly. I can see everything is on but no video output. I tried swapping out the video card but still not output, so the video card is good. The primary drive was set to slave before. I forgot to check the jumper settings and installed an OS in it, but at the time it was the only hard drive there. Are you thinking I need a newprocessor r motherboard?

Thanks zimu
