ok so my computer decides to not boot up anymore. i dont know why. i shut down my pc after checking my email and the weather reports before going out. when i come back, i press my power button and go take a shower. when i come back, the pc is basically hanging like it would from a bad OC restart. this is weird because the computer has been on stock settings and has been working flawlessly until now. any ideas? i tried resetting BIOS and all connections SHOULD BE fine since the pc hasnt had any problems until randomly now.

specs:
Q9650
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Rev 1.1
WD Velociraptor 300GB
4x1 CellShock RAM 800mhz
HIS IceQ+ 4850 Turbo
Enermax Revolution 1050W

What does this mean exactly?

A blinking cursor on a black screen?
Not passing POST?

What are the symptoms?

i cant even get it to POST. i cant even get into the BIOS. just a blank screen. if it doesnt hang, the system would just turn on and off repeatedly. one person told me it could be possible that the mobo has gone bad. another said the video card could be the cause of this. i did play HoN at 1680x1050 resolution and high settings, so that might have taken a toll on my video card. i'm thinking about RMAing the mobo and the vid card one at a time. does anybody know how gigabyte and HIS's rma process is? hopefully they were pleasant.

Could be the PSU. Have you tried a different PSU. Look for bad ( bulged or leaking ) caps on the motherboard also.

i dont have other spare parts to test with. i never expected this to happen when my computer has been running flawlessly for the past year or so.

completely remove the video card and reinstall it, might be a connection problem.
