Computer wont boot into windows after a random restart

I was just browsing the interwebs earlier this morning, my computer suddenly rebooted without warning, but all my applications shut down as if someone actually hit "shut down". It continued to reboot and then got stuck on the "verifying dmi pool data"

I confirmed the drive is recognized in the bios, none of the bios settings have changed. The drive is an OCZ Vertex http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227394. Purchased in December of 2009.

I pulled the drive out and hooked it up to another computer and all the contents on the drive appear to be intact. However the transfer speeds to copy data of it were extremely slow.

I have attempted to boot up with the Win7 Disc and do a startup repair but that did not help.

I am avoding doing a clean install as I will loose my firefox profile! Any ideas on what else to try?

Make a backup image of the SSD right now. If you have a spare drive sitting around, try doing a clean install onto that to see if it is an issue with any of the hardware components besides the drive.
