My computer was getting full or stuff and I wanted to start over again so I restored an image from when I first build my computer. Now when I try and start my computer I get: DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSTERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER. I booted from a start-up disk but then I get:

VFAT Device Initializtion Failure
A device or resource required by VFAT is nt present or is unavailable. VFAT cannot continue loading.
System halted.

Have I really screwed up my computer or is there a simple fix for this? If this is going to take a lot of work I'll probably reformat and reinstall everything.

thanx

I would try reformatting it. That way, it'll tell you if you really have a bad hard disk or not. Hope this helps.

It sounds like the Image you made is corrupt or was not a complete image. Best route is to fdisk, format and reinstall. then make another image and test that image before going any further.:)
