Computer Will Not Start

First, let me give my specs:
2.8ghz P4 w/ Retail Heatsink/Fan
1gb Mushkin Ram
Radeon 9800 Pro
Abit IC7-G Motherboard
Two Raid'd Seagate Baracuda SATA HD
Antec True 430watt PS

I was running Win2k up until today, when I got a blue screen: Windows Cannot Detect Boot Drive, or something similar. This has happened to me before, and I was fed up, so I went and bought a copy of XP Pro. I formatted my Windows Partition, and installed XP on it, reinstalled all my drivers, etc. Then I was playing a game just now (Lineage2), then the screen blanked out, then came back on, and I get an error message like "Windows can't communicate with your video card", they asked to send error report, I don't (this had happened before when I had windows 2000). Everything looks like it is working fine, so I continue to play. Then all of the sudden my computer just shuts off. Now whenever I turn it on, it just runs for 7 seconds then shuts off. Nothing comes up on the monitor. All the fans are running, and I had checked my cpu temps earlier in my BIOS and they looked fine. Hard drives are spinning up. I've tried a different plug in my surge protector, problem persists.

Admitedly it has been a long time since I made the computer and knew alot about it, so hopefully this is something simple to fix =(

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
