Hey guys,
Im running an Athlon 1.2Ghz on an epox 8k7a with an ATI Radeon LE (tweaked) and a Dell P991 monitor.. and my computer will NOT come out of power save. Its fine returning from the screen saver, and its fine returning from the system standby, but if it gets to the point that the whole system (hard drives etc) power down then it will not come back up with any mouse movements or keystrokes... any suggestions?

Ahh the age-old problem of the failed powersave mode. I've posted this myself, watched hundreds of others post it, and still have never seen a true solution (other than to turn off the powersave). From my experiences it is the videocard which doesn't wake back up. If you can, try connecting it to the onboard graphics. This will give you enough ability to restart the computer normally. Then switch back to your regular video card. Sorry its not a true solution. I'm still waiting for anyone who can solve this for good (as the years go by I feel this may never be solved).

Edit: while you are waiting, I bet there is on average about 1 thread per day on this same subject. That should give you hundreds/thousands of threads to start reading.

This is a long shot, but I have a Radeon 64 DDR on an EPoX 8KTA3 motherboard. I had problems with random lockups as well as the problem regarding Power-save mode.

Upping the AGP voltage in the BIOS by .2 helped both issues....

Good luck

haha sorry I guess I should have done a search first, my bad.

Will upping the voltage by .2 have any chance of frying anything?
