when i leave my computer untouched for quite some time, it goes into a sleep mode, which is fine.
but when i try to let's say run explorer, or simply refresh a webpage after this, my computer takes forever (up to 30s i think) to respond, and all this time, i can hear my dvdrom drive spinning up, and den stopping, den spinning up again, and stopping, and doing this a few times, and then finally the explorer page will load up (or IE will refresh the page).

this also happens when i first boot up my computer, and try to run explorer.

anyone has any ideas why this is happening?

:frown:

It sounds like you have a CD/DVD in the drive. Remove it. :)
