Computer Upgrade - Will These Work?

Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my current PC, and figured I pretty much need every component except a case, HDD, and maybe a graphics card. I've attatched a .txt of the two possible builds, but I'm not exactly a hardware genius so I'm not 100% positive both of them will work.

I think I'm going to go for the second spec I listed, and it looks like everything should work, but I'd still like a second opinion.

If any of you could take a look at the solutions, and tell me if any of them will work, and if not, what's wrong, I would be really grateful

Another thing, would I have overheating issues with these setups? I have done in the past, and currently only have 2 case fans that I've added to try and lower temperatures. Any overheating solutions would be great too.

Thanks in advance!

Please note I'm on a £400 budget!

320GB Seagate for ~50£
Some cheap Rossewil could cost about 25£
If I were you I´d spend more on Case becase its long term investment - good case will be fine even after 10 years so I think it´d be better to save more money and buy some nice one from CoolerMaster or ThermalTake.

I already have a case and HDD that I can use, I just need to know if the components I listed would work together.

Both setups seem like they would work fine. If you are concerned about money, you can get 533 or 667 RAM cheaper. If you are not OCing, then I'd get the cheaper RAM and save some money. Does your case not have a PSU?

It does have a PSU, but only 330w, and from what Ive heard I need at least 400w to be running AM2?
