 for Dell. Sorry, you cannot build it cheaper these days.

*edit*

I picked this up from dell the other day for 828.08 after shipping and TN sales tax....

Dimension XPS Generation 5 Desktop
Pentium 4 Processor 640 with HT Technology (3.20GHz, 800 FSB)
Microsoft Windows XP Home
1 GB DDR2 SDRAM 533MHz (2 DIMMs)
160 GB EIDE SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
256MB Nvidia GeForce 6800 Graphics Card
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 (D) Card w/Dolby 5.1, and IEEE 1394 capability
48X CD RW Drive
16X DVD ROM Drive
USB 2 Button Mouse
USB Keyboard

You cannot beat that at newegg, zzf, or whereever else. Not even close.

Either way. If you want the fun and challenge (not much) build your own. If you don't want the hassle, just get the Dell. Price should be about the same either way. It's hard to beat the Dell value.
