hey guys im having a lot of computer problems here lately. long story short, my mobo died and im trying to use some older parts until i buy some new ones.

i just hooked everything up, plugged it all in, and powered on. computer runs fine, except there is no video on either of my monitors. i know the monitors and cables themselves are fine because i have tested them.

i just had these exact same parts in less than 2 days ago and everything worked perfectly.

anyone know why this is happening? it sounds like a dead gpu to me, but it was working 2 days ago and hasnt been used since. the fan powers on fine, and when i hook the monitor cables up to it, the No Video Signal message goes away and the screen just goes black and starts flashing like it turns itself off during a screensaver

make sure everything is fitted properly, power cable for vid card connnected if it has one? Swap dvi connector's places

If still no video I'd say try to get another pci-e card and test it with that.

ok i removed all my ram cept for 1 stick, sound card, video card. i hear a lot of beeps, probably telling me my gpu isnt hooked up. so i power down, put in gpu, i get a post beep and VIDEO!!!

ill try adding the ram stick by stick then the sound card to see who the culprit was!
