I know that sounds REALLY strange, but thats exactly what i'm thinking. I do 'shutdown' in win2k, and everything turns off fine. When i get up in the morning, it is on again!!

what is going on??

Have you checked the bios to see if the option to start everyday at a certain time is enabled and set to a specific time?

your computer isn't really on ... thats just me playing mind tricks on you. seriously though, have you checked for the power on lan option (i.e. powers on when you get throughput from your ethernet card)? i don't know if your motherboard has that option but its worth looking into.
