Computer turns on but no video at all on the monitor, no BIOS, no nothing.

I tried changing monitor, video card, cmos battery and still nothing. I removed the RAM and got no beeps or any sign from the mobo that there was something wrong. The fans turn on, the hard drive seems to spin up, the mobo light is green. Not sure what else to do.

I've googled and read from a few different forums about different things to check. And so far nothing has helped. Only thing I have read that might help is the processor is shot.

Please if you have any suggestions or ideas please let me know.

TIA.

This looks like your motherboard could be grounding out on the case. Here is what i would do....

1) Take out the mobo and put it on a NON conductive surface

2)Only put in your RAM and your video card

3) hook up the power switch to the mobo

4) Fire it up

5)If it boots then you were grounding to the case posts and have to take more care in mounting your motherboard

6)If it doesn't boot...take out your memory and you should get a BEEP code warning

7) then I would try a different CPU...if it is still silent then most likely your Mobo is DOA

I worked on 2 systems within the last year the presented like this and I ended up replacing the motherboards on both.

I'll give that a shot, thanks.

Just a fyi, this machine has been up and running for a few years now with no issues.
