Okay, well, I just finished building my system. And then, I booted it up, everything was fine. I got into the BIOS, and started looking around. Apparantly, I made a huge mistake by changing things before my OS was installed and etc. I changed the FSB from 100 I think it was to 166, because I noticed that my computer booted up as a 1100 or something, when I'm running a Barton 2500+. I also changed the video aperture memory or whatever from 64 to 128, which is also apparantly a no no. Anyways, when I re-booted, I got no screen. Computer is on, everything is running, but no screen. I switched monitors, switched video cards, still no screen. So I have come here for help. I also tired clearing the CMOS, but that doesn't do it either.

I have read here:

http://www.amdmb.com/wiki/index.php...%20The%20System

That I was not supposed to change the memory thing from 64 to 128. What do I do now?

System:

Barton 2500+
Asus A7N8X Deluxe Revision 2.0 Bios 1003.
Maxtor 120GB
No OS yet.

Help is appreciated, thanks!

If you want to help out real quick like, my AIM screen name is InsouciantRSX. I'd like to get my system up and running ASAP, so that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Nope, doesn't post. Totally borked. I can't tell if the CPU is fried (Probably not, Asus boards shut down if CPU temps get too high, besides, I was running good cooling). The die isn't cracked or anything (not to the naked eye anyways). Going to RMA the board ASAP.

When you reset your bios try leaving the jumper to reset for 30 minutes if you haven't already. Also try taking out the battery for the 30 minutes also.

Reset the CMOS, that'll put everything back to factory settings. To ensure it does it, pull battery, unplug power supply, jumper the CMOS or short it with screw driver, paper clip; if you use a jumper let it sit like that for 15 minutes or so.

Put everything back in it's spot and boot.

Edit: Didn't see snidy's reply....
