Like yesterday my keyboard fell off the thing that holds it onto the desk right, and it fell kinda hard and hit my box. It turned off, I got it to turn back on again, but just now I just tried to tap the box, and it just turned off again.

What do you think could be causing this problem?

Everything works good until I tape the box slightly.

Looks like something got unseated... and when you tap the case... its shorting...
best solution IMHO is to power down then open the box and reseat everything... or ideally what got unseated if its visible...

No, I said that my keyboard fell on my box, and it shut off.

Also, I have a nForce board with onboard everything, so I dunno I just checked to see if everything is in place snug, like ram, hdd cables, power cables, so fourth, and they are.

The problem stopped, hopefully it won't come back. That is the main reason why I left intel. I would tap my box and it would shut off.

Hmm what about hooking your computer up to the clapper? Clap--boot, clap clap--power down.

I am the dude from the thread bacteria posted. My mb was shorting out because I did not check the brass standoff locations when I replaced my Abit KT7 mb with a Biostar MV71A (I assumed they were the same). The mb was shorting out on the extra standoff when I touched the case. I was lucky the mb did not go up in smoke :)
