computer time getting late. what do I need to do?

I synchronized it with an Internet time server 2 times today. though I found it was late once again. what is wrong with it?
I just built this system 3 days ago. bad battery?

there's a windows time command which you can force windows time to synch with a different time source. google time sync windows

It is either the battery or the crystal. If it is the crystal just set the clock to update every hour while online to account for the drift.
