In my Cisco class we watched Pirates of Silicon Valley once, any other movies similar to this that we could watch?

Swordfish came to mind, but that's not school appropriate - this is a senior high school class.

I found Antitrust to be quite good, and that's a PG13 I think. Plus Rachel Leigh Cook is very easy on the eyes. :D

there was some old movie too, where the US made a super computer and so did the russians (along with AI tech.), then the computers started to communicate and before anything could be done the computers were pretty much holding the world hostage

Yeah, I'd recommend War Games as well. Its not real advanced or anything, but its a fun movie.

It doesn't really pertain to computers, but I think it'd fit fairly well with your students (sorry to stereotype), but Real Genius would be another pretty good one.

Sneakers is good too.

Another iffy one would be that movie where a young Fred Savage (it was him wasn't it...?) and some other kids try to make it to this video game competition. I can't remember the name, and it really wasn't that terribly great, but eh.

also, there was one called hackers 2: something something something. can't remember what the sub-title was called.

it had nothing to do with the original movie and it was about kevin mitnick i think. wasn't the greatest movie but was pretty interesting if you had nothing better to do
