Computer struck by lightning

I have a Nforce 2 based computer that is running very weird. It was hit by lighting and the network port doesn't work. I have been trying to install Kubuntu, Ubuntu, and OpenSuse and they all freeze up one way or another. I think there is more damage then just the network port... I finally got Kubuntu to install and it runs but I get some weird errors so I don't know if it is working right or not. I tried to shut down and it stayed at a blank screen and then when I hit the power button it shut off normally.

Maybe look into whether the insurance that covers the place you live in cover zappage?

The most likely victims of lightning strikes are network adapter, modem and PSU.
