Computer startup weirdly

Whenever I turn on my computer by pressing the power button, the computer would start. But then after 1-2 seconds it would shut off, and 2-3 seconds later it'll turn on by itself again. It does not really bother me since I only turn on my computer once a day, but I just wonder why it happens. I'm using P8P67 Pro board with i5 2500k, have a 650W corsair PSU, and using Windows 7.

Yeah, I have it overclocked to 36 core with 1.2V.

Is the latest bios version 1053? I have that one installed right now and on their website the latest is 0800ish.

Actually the 1053 version for your mobo is from early January, if you check out the ASUS website there is a bios version 1305 dated 3/01/2011, you might try that one. Also the problem you describe sounds allot like when you change something in the bios and "save changes and exit" (F10) where the change requires a restart before it loads the O/S, is common, but should only occur once, not every time you power on. So something is amiss and perhaps updating to the 1305 version may have a fix.

So what you're saying is that my BIOS completely resets itself whenever I turn it off?
Is that why whenever I press the power button, it turns on not realizing it is at the right settings, so it turns off again, tweaks and adjusts, then turn on again. I'll give 1305 a try.
