computer starts when turning on PS

I just upgraded my system with a new setup. Now I noticed that the computer will turn on when I turn on the main switch at the rear of the power supply. I know something is not hooked back up correctly, but I can't figure out what. Google and searching here yielding nothing. I hope someone here has had a similar experience.

Also, I do not need to turn that switch off in order to shut down the system.

Sounds like something is going on with your mobo or (more likely) a bad front panel power switch. Try unplugging the front panel switch & switch on the psu to see if the pc still turns on automatically. Could also be just incorrectly connected, verify with the manual.
 
No I suppose not, I have not had this experience before. Could always try unplugging the psu from everything in the pc & flipping its switch. If it powers on, the psu has a problem; if not, the mobo -> check front panel connectors. What psu are you using btw?

Edit: Also, check bios settings. Power management section will have a setting for the pc to power on after power loss, should be able to disable that.
 
I'll try that. I'm pretty sure it's the connections since I didn't have this problem on the previous setup.

It's an OCZ 420W, btw.

Edit: It is set to have power off after power loss in bios.
 
It's probably a BIOS setting. Probably "state after power failure" is set to "on". Throwing the switch back and forth on the back of the PSU is seen by the BIOS as a power failure because you're discontinuing the +5VSB to the board.
 
Did you try unplugging the psu from everything in the pc & flipping the switch? Maybe it just likes to power on automatically the first time around...or perhaps try another psu.

Also, what did you change/not change with the upgrade?
 
Try flipping the two-wire power switch connector to the motherboard 180 degrees. Also, check the physical switch to make sure it's not stuck.
