First thing I did was plug in the NIC card (PCI, Linksys Lne100TX) and low and behold the computer turns on and boots up...
I left the power cord attached for grounding purposes. OK, maybe that was wrong. So I shut down and got the card in OK. Turned it back on and it boots up OK. Install the drivers. Shut down.
Plug in the LAN connection and low and behold the computer turns on a boots up again on its own.

What the heck?

I have a MSI Kt3-Ultra 2 board.

Whats going on?
This card also intermittently plugs and unplugs itself per another post I made.
Is there something in the BIOs or W2k doing this?

I'm no expert, and someone please correct me if I am way off base. But maybe theres a wake-on-lan setting that is on. Would that do it? I think it might possibly. Also though, tsk tsk on leaving the power plugged in ;)
