Computer starts up then shuts down immediately

I have a Shuttle computer and a couple days ago I started getting a lot of blue screen of death. Now the computer starts and shuts down immediately. I tried removing everything including the CPU and the power does turn on with fans spinning, however when I put CPU back in and try to boot it will power on and shuts down in like 2 seconds, so is this CPU issue or MB issue? Thanks.
 
thats tough, there isn't going to be a sure answer untill you can get test your processor or motherboard with different parts.

so go swap a friends CPU to find out. what was the error on the bluescreen btw?
