I built a machine based on the MSI Pro2a motherboard and Duron 700 CPU. It has been working fine for about a year but recently I no longer get video. When I turn on the machine, I don't get any beeps either. I tried hooking up two monitors and neither work. I made sure the video card was seated properly. Any ideas?

What did you do between the time it last worked right and the firsttime it failed? Try and remember if you were toying with anything. If not, then try another vid card.

You get no beeps so that means it's not the video card. I suggest clearing the CMOS. Look on your motherboard for a jumper near the CMOS battery.

The video card can't be your problem since you should get 3 beeps at startup if there is any trouble with it. And that's tru for all motherboards from the oldest to the newest. Try what I posted earlier.

did you install any new hardware lately? especially if it is memory that could be your problem... take out the new hardware and turn on the comp see if it works... that might help..

I would clear CMOS first....if that doesn't work unplug everything from the Power supply, take out all cards and leave in only the RAM, CPU and Video card and see if it posts.
If it does then plug in each thing one by one.....and so on.

if u r using an agp card... try using a pci card instead. also... does the system sound as if it is posting otherwise (floppy motor running, hd spins up, the post beeps, etc)?
