Computer speakers

I'm looking to purchase some computer speakers for a laptop and want the best bang for a little buck. My son has the Logitech Z 340's ($50) and they sound good but I was wondering if anyone had heard of a similar system(a sub and 2 satelites) that sound better for the about the same price. Thanks
