computer speakers to tv ?

is it at all possible to connect computer speakers to a tv that only has the basic hookups for a dvd player-- red/yellow/white output connectors? if so, what cable do i need for this to work.

If the TV doesn't have an OUTPUT set then you're SOL. If what you're talking about is labeled Line-In or something of the sort you're not going to get audio out of it. If you have a set labeled Line-Out then the red/white pair are stereo audio using RCA connectors.
