My Klipsch 4.1's are just not cutting it anymore. I have had them for a few years but they are starting to cut out and make really annoying hissing noises when turned up. Plus DVD watching is very difficult because I can't hear the speakers very well.

My soundcard is only 8 months old. (fortissimo III or something)

I am looking for a minimum of a 5.1 setup that will be used for FPS gaming, DVD/TV watching and music listening. Having good audio for DVD/TV watching is the most important to me.

I am looking for only computer speakers (small bedroom plus the living room has a nice stereo system already) and I am willing to pay top dollar. Catch is, where do I look or who has some suggestions for me?

Check the thread in my signature; look at the speaker suggestions for the High End System.

Didn't think it would be in the buyers guide so I never looked. Thanks a lot. Definitely have a great starting spot now in order to make a decision.

HT system = Home Theater System. Something like this.

Onkyo probably gives you the best value if you want a home-theater-in-a-box solution, but it's definitely a larger package and not everyone has room for HT speakers and a reciever in their computer room.

Ah okay. Thanks for the info.

Yeah definitely not in the need of a home theater system for my bedroom. I have(had) a few thousand stuck into my stereo system in the living room already.

a little too specialized. go to AVSForum, HomeTheaterForum, or HomeTheaterSpot for that stuff.
