My computer shuts down randomly, I cant figure out why.
anyone can tell how to test so I can see whats wrong?

my specs:
Windows 8.1 Pro
GeForce GTX 560 SE
cpu: AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor, 4118 MHz
mb: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0
Motherboard overclocks automaticly.
hd: WDC WD5001AALS-00L3B2
ram: corsair vengence 2*4 GB

Turn off the auto overclock.

What power supply do you have?

Does it give a blue screen when it shuts down?

What are you doing when it shuts down?

In addition to ketchup79's suggestions, also download and install Whocrashed to see if it gives you any information about what is crashing.

Also, how old is the machine (and, if it is over a year old), have you blown the dust out of the case recently? Do you have any temperature monitoring software such as Speedfan or HWMonitor installed?

oh happen twice again.
I have dusted out also.
I just listened to spotify and downloaded a game from steam.
Did not get a crash report

take your video caard out and run with the on board GPU intel GPU. See if the vid card is causing issue? Do you have access to another PSU ? I think you have hardware issue. Swap the memory into the other DIMM slots.... reseat memory, reseat GPU... etc Can you RMA your motherboard?

If it is flat-out shutting off, it is probably a power issue. Now, whether or not it's on the power supply or the motherboard is hard to say. Power supply is usually the simplest thing to check/swap first.
