Computer running too hot??

I just fiinished build a new Athlon 1.4 and i have tnoticed that my temps are quiet high. According to the temps in the setup menu on my Epox 8k7a the CPu temps are anywhere between 48C and 55C while the system temps are around 32C to 36C. These temps look awefull hot. I'm using the stock HSF and paste stuff that i got with my retail CPU. My case is an Lian Li 60 and i have the emeorex 350 watt CPU.

Can somebody help me lower temps? Thanks!

Your temps seem fine actually. As long as you dont have any stability problems dont worry about it.

yeedog: You're temps aren't great but they're okay. Like heffe734 said, just don't plan to overclock.

If you want to bring your temps down, consider replacing the stock HSF with a better one like Thermalright's SK6. Combine it with a Delta 60mm fan and you'll definitely bring the temps down. Just be prepared to get a set of earplugs. That Delta is one loud mother!

A better HSF should lower your temps and as Dan said, a Thermalright SK-6, in particular, would work well. I use it with a 30cfm fan from Tai-Sol and although it is not as effecient as a Delta fan, it is less noisy. My new system is in a very warm room; 31 to 32C at times. Yet, my temps run 40-46C max most of the time. This is running a 1.33GHz @ 1.40GHz. Not drastic over clocking by any means, but the potential is there.😎😀

I just got a 1.33 ghz tbird with an a7m266, and I overclocked it to a 1.4 and then I was getting pretty much the same temperatures you are getting (i dont use stock HSF tho), I took off my case sides and it went down 10 degrees....try taking off your case to see if the core temp drops a lot, then u can tell if you should get better case cooling or better processor cooling...

Oh, and one more thing, I dont recommend the delta fans, I'm sure it would help but I got one of them on my heat sink and i can hear it from the kitchen which is like 50 feet away thru walls and thru the case....no exaggeration. i always left my computer on 24/7 and since i got my new computer i keep wanting to turn it off while im sleeping because its so loud.
