Computer running supreme commander really poorly

Specs:
A64 4600 @ 2.6GHz
2GB of Ram
2x 7900GTXs in SLI
74GB raptor (16mb cache)

Problem:

When I play online and run ren_shownetworkstats I am the one making the game go slower (usually at -2). I can run the game perfectly when im off line but any multiplayer game is screwed up.

I just reinstalled windows and was wondering if there was something I didnt install. Is there a dual core driver or something? I thought the optimizer from AMD wasnt needed anymore.
 
Do this - for the registry thing, post #10 has a ZIP file with a registry file so you can just run that instead of having to do it manually.

Supreme Commander shouldn't have a problem though, its new enough to take advantage of dual cores...
 
thanks sparky Ill try that after I get the IE thing fixed. This is like the 5th thing I have had to fix tonight on my comp
