Well summer is here and I am dying in my house.

I have 2 stories and the AC upstairs doesnt pump quite as well as downstairs. Problem is my office / computer room is on the second floor. It has an AC duct running in from the ceiling but its 10 billion degrees in there with 4 comps running.

I use 3 on my desk and the wife has hers.

Just curious what you guys do to keep your room cool...my CPUs arent hot - but they give off a ton of heat. The rest of my house is a perfect 72 degrees...but this room is unbareable. Maybe I'll install a window AC unit - seems silly for a house with central air but I need to do something.

With 4 machines running, there isn't much else you can do to keep it cool!

Do you have 4 monitors as well, or a KVM setup? Monitors kick off a ton of heat as well... I have a 21" in my office that I could fry an egg on.

Too bad that will just make the room hotter :)

Blame those darn laws of thermo-dynamics for that.

2 flat panel
1 laptop - gets plenty hot though
1 17" monitor

I use synergy - but each machine has its own monitor.

I play D2 3 chars at a time and often 2 box WoW / EQ2 and then have the extra machine for surfing etc...I'm a bit of a multitasker.
