I just saw a "predicted" roadmap for the next couple of years in the computing industry. It was enough to make me cry.. almost.

I saw Via and ATI making cpu's, an AMD 4400+, stupid speeds in ram such as 533Mhz DDR, 2 new Winblows versions, and numerous other advancements in technology. I wish there was some truth to most of it, but it's so hard to tell at these stages, but I didn't expect to have a 1 or 2GHZ cpu so quickly either, so who knows.

It's going to be a crazy ride over the next year or two.. hang on!!

Mike's Hardware Check it out, go to Roadmap.
It just proves that you can't be current for more than the time it takes to ship your parts.

533 stoopid ? 133 Mhz quad pumped = 532 and spare.. nothing you can do about that...

Heh I just mean insane speeds and new tech. It's going to be the new DDR II ram which looks pdq.
I can't wait for the computer that will do all my housework for me.

hehe My friend laughs at me cause I'm always waiting for something to come out, and when it's here, I end up seeing something better and waiting for that..

But I took the plunge and ordered a new mobo yesterday.. the Soltek SL-75DRV4 mobo which has the new Southbridge on it and there aren't any reviews out yet so I'm hoping it will all work right. Getting a new XP1800+ cpu later this week. It's not a bad upgrade from my old k62/350 ;)

Looks like you've been putting off an upgrade forever. That upgrade will be awesome!
