Computer Restarts Unexpectedly

Whenever my computer attempts to come out of standby, it instead reboots completely. My computer also sometimes reboots if I attempt to log into Windows XP after the log in screen has been present for a while. If someone could tell me how to fix this problem, I'd highly appreciate it. Thanks.

Chances are it is BSODing due to a bad driver (you don't get a BSOD because windows automatically restarts by default). The guide in my sig will tell you how to disable automatic restart to give you a bsod (might point out the driver), or you can use dclive's dump guide to debug your crash dumps.
